Campveda is ideally located, with many attractions around to visit. Yamunotri, one of the four Char Dhams is close by. Lakhamandal, the place where Duryodhan tried to burn Pandavs by making them stay in a Laksha-grih ( house made of Lac) is just a few kms away. Purola, the widest valley and the location of Vedic Yagna Kund, is nearby and offers many places to visit.

The first of the Char-Dhams, Yamunotri is the religious center in the region, also the source of the river Yamuna, and dedicated to her. The region around Yamunotri offers distinct cultural experience along with abundant natural scenery.

Lakhamandal is famous for its association with Pandavas and Kauravas of the Mahabharata period. It is said to be the very place where Duryodhana tried to kill the Pandava brothers by burning them inside the house made of Lac. Today, the place has a large temple built in the typical architecture style of the hills and the ruins of a large Shiva temple alongside.

The valley of Purola is perhaps the widest valley in this entire region, and also has the distinction of the most fertile valley. The road meandering along the valley upto the ridge top (Jarmola-dhar) offers breathtaking views of the valley. It is also the place where the ruins of the old Vedic Yagya kund are found.

Uttarkashi, the hotbed of adventure activities is very near. Its old temples, fascinating trekking routes and lakes around it attract tourists from all around the world.
